Visiting Norland Scarecrow Festival

By Car –  If you are visiting the Festival by car, please use the main car park, close to the church and school, in the centre of Norland (see map, right or use postcode HX6 3RL).  Parking is FREE. Please respect the resident parking within the village and refrain from parking on the roads in the village or leading into it. Thank you.

By Bicycle – Norland is a very hilly village, but visiting the festival by bike can be fun. Why not cycle from one of the neighbouring towns and villages, such as Sowerby Bridge, Ripponden, West Vale, Greetland and Barkisland?

By Bus – Yorkshire Tiger buses run buses every couple of hours to Norland from Halifax – view their routes 561 & 562

By Train – the nearest railway station is Sowerby Bridge, on the Calder Valley line (stations to Manchester, Bradfrord and Leeds). Although close to Norland (approx 1 mile), the trip from this station involves a steep climb. You have been warned!
